MECCA AND MADINA SURAHS

                   NEW QURANIC DIMENSION

WHAT ARE MAKKAH AND MADEENA SURAHS?

WHY LEAVING [HIJRAH] MAKKAH AND RESIDING IN MADEENA IS IMPORTANT?

WHY THE BOOK QURAN IS DIVIDED INTO TWO PARTS; MAKKI AND MADANI?

Best emigration is to leave what Allah dislikes

Mecca and Madeena are not two holy cities in the context of Islamic theology. They are two important state of thinking mind, one is the state of Makkah [unsettle state of mind] and other is the state of Madeena [sound state of mind]A thinking mind always yearn to leave [Hijrah] from the state of agitated mind [Makkah] and seek to move [Hijrah] towards secure, peace and tranquil state of mind [Madeena]. This happens by the virtue of the continuous but wavering flow of thought process that continuously inspires [wahi] the two states of mind, ultimately it reaches its destination [manzil], that is the state of safety / security from the state of fear and anxiety. This path or the movement of thoughts in the Quranic terminology is called هَاجَرُواْ فِي اللّهِ / يُهَاجِرْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللّهِ - leaving or cutting off [Hijrah] all the relations from our previous fear, anxiety, negative emotions and moving towards the sound / secure belief in the path of system of consciousness [Allah]. The book Quran always emphasizes about Hijrah in the way/path of Allah it never discusses Hijrah between path of two cities. The History or Hadith of Hijrat must be understood in the context of the Quran and not vice versa.

Hijrah [هجرة] in the Quranic context is always from the restricted / fearful state of mind [Makkah] towards the liberated state of enlightenment or illumination [Madeena Munawwra] for the well being of our own mind or consciousness [Allah / Rabb]. The book Quran never discusses about the physical aspects of names, places, objects or personalities but it thoroughly discusses how the state of human mind behaves in different circumstances. The word Naas ناس generally translated as man or people, actually signifies the wavering state of human mind. Lexically Naas means to move to and fro, state of commotion or agitation. That's the reason chapters that has the phrase of ياأيها الناس [O Agitated Mind] are classified as Meccan Surahs. Makkah Surahs does not have the phrase يأيها اللذين آمنوا because this phrase O you who believe always occurs in Madina surahs. According to traditionalists chapter 22 is Madeena surah, but I strongly believe the chapter 22 is also a Makki Surah, as it is addressed to ياأيها الناس [O Agitated Mind].

What will be the gravity of our discernment if we assume the idea of Makkah and Madeena as the two geographical location of revelation of the book Quran? Is it fair to fix the immemorial message of the book Quran into circumstances of two fabled ancient cities? Are we not suppressing the living message of the Quran by comprehending it in the light of those doubtful / fabricated narratives of history? Are we not confining / regressing the vibrant message of the book Quran to the political situation of two cities back in 1442 C.E? Are we not fastening the message of Noble Quran to the condition of the people of those two cities and the life of Rev. Mohammed bin Abdullah [570 CE - 632CE]? Are we not instrumental in paralyzing or freezing the living message of the Noble Quran?

If the message of the book Quran is divided into the events of two cities (Mecca and Madina) happened some 1442 A.H before, then the vibrant message of the Quran is defunct in current situations. And we are overlooking a very important segregation done by the earlier scholars of Makki and Madni verses on the basis of our two states of mind.

If Hijrah is considered as escape of Rev. Mohammed bin Abdullah [PBUH] from Mecca to Madina that means we are missing a invaluable instruction and essence of Hijrah in the Quranic context.

Let's see some of the meaning of derivatives of مَكَّة in Modern Arabic - إلكترون مكوكي = Electron shuttling, سفينة مكّوكية = shuttle vessel, حاملة مكوكية - shuttle carriage - the essence of the word mekkah is that which keeps on moving or that never settles at one place.

Meaning of Makkah in Classical Arabic.

Ibn Manẓūr, Lisān al-ʿArab لسان العرب لابن منظور

معروفة، البلد الحرام، قيل: سميت بذلك لقلة مائها، وذلك أَنهم – ومَكَّةُ

كانوا يَمْتَكُّون الماء فيها أي يستخرجونه، وقيل: سميت مكة لأنها كانت

تَمُكُّ من ظَلَم فيها وأَلْحَدَ أي تهلكه؛ قال الراجز:

يا مَكَّة، الفاجِرَ مُكِّي مَكَّا

My rough translation: According to Ibn Manẓūr, [d.1311 C.E] Lisān al-ʿArab لسان العرب لابن منظورMakkah is recognized as the forbidden / restricted / inviolable state that is wanting in intelligence, it was so called because of its scarcity / lack of water / epiphany / knowledge, and that is what they are. And Makkah always possess the water / epiphany in it, which can be clearly subjugated, and it was said: Makkah was named because it holds those who wronged it and the one who has wronged it, that it perishes; Al-Rajz said in Majzūʾ al-Rajzمجزوء الرجز  a classical Arabic poetry.

Al-Fajir makki – My unsettled state that is on the verge of breakthrough - يا مَكَّة، الفاجِرَ مُكِّي مَكَّا

And according to Ibn al-Athīr al-Jazarī, al-Nihāya fī Gharīb al-Ḥadīth wa-l-Athar (d. 1210 CE) النهاية في غريب الحديث والأثر لأبي السعادات ابن الأثير الجزري –

المَكَّةَ - Makkah is the phase of learning and absorbing of all the knowledge like the last drop of milk is sucked from the udder of the camel. This phase must be without teaching / preaching / arguing / insisting upon or controlling your adversaries, rival and enemy.

المَكَّةَ المكرمة - The word with Makkah is al-Mukarramah which means productive, fertile or can be manured, preserved, honored, noble ... so from the meaning of Mukarramah we can also deduce that Makkah is a place of growing of new ideas and when the new idea grows we must keep quite and meditate on those new ideas.

Geographically the city Mecca is hot desert mountainous region with almost no fresh water except brackish water from zam zam well. So linguistically we cannot called that region as al-Mukarramah since the region is not conducive to productive growth. It can only be termed as al-Mukarramah if it is fertile and conducive to growth. But the later generation think because the house of Allah is situated in Mecca that why epithet al-Mukarramah is used along with the name Mecca.

Makkah is a shuttling state of mind, thoughts come and go in this state. In the state of Mecca it is not advisable to take crucial decisions as our thoughts are not steady. In Meccan or Makki [مُكِّي] state we must follow restriction [ihram] on our own self as our mind is not stable and lacks knowledge to take decisions. In this state we are forbidden to live a carefree life, its a period of observation, absorption, learning, tolerance,...The word "Mecca" in English has come to be used to refer to any place that draws large numbers of people and in Islamic context it is a house of meditation الْبَيْتَ where throng of thoughts assemble to devote, remain humble, contemplate and bow لِلطَّائِفِينَ وَالْعَاكِفِينَ وَالرُّكَّعِ السُّجُودِ - to the thinking which is important or prominent [Kabah]

Makkah is the place of development of our commonsense [Mohammed]. In the state of Mecca our thoughts heat up / ignites [Ramadan] and the Quran / Furqan / Hudan is revealed [not the physical book but our own part of the script [Al-Kitab]. Makkah is not a geographical place but is a birthplace of our common sense [Mohammed] i.e the beginning of the journey of our own commonsense along with the struggle with its adversaries. The entire message of the book Quran runs parallel to our own common sense, personified as Mohammedun Rasul Allah, who is present in every generation [3:81].

المدينة المنورة‎ - Al Madinah Al Munawwarah : The word Madeena is the derivative of word Deen [دين] - The basic meaning of Deen is to become obedient or submissive. Madeena is the state of submission to the authority of Mohammed, our common sense. The state of Madeena is always ruled my our common sense [Mohammed] in the atmosphere of enlightenment and illumination. Madeena does not mean the state of blind submission but it is submission to the knowledge of enlightenment. It is the state of a believer of knowledge; a non believer of knowledge cannot attain this state. Madeena is a sound state of peace and tranquility of mind. That's the reason Madeena surah are often addressed by the phrase يأيها اللذين آمنوا  - A believing or a trusting or a submissive mind is must for achieving the state of Madeena.

Once we have conquered the state of Makkah and proceeded towards the state of Madeena we can still go back to the state of Mecca again but only as a pilgrim with certain restrictions. For the state of security, tranquility and peace we have to permanently stay in the state of Madeena ruled by our enlightened common sense know as Mohammed in Quranic terminology. When we remain in the enlightened state of Madeena, we achieve the title of Muslim and Momin and we are recognized as Mohammedi محمدي‎ [my Mohammed / my common sense] or a misnomer Mohammedans in English as we are the consumer of our own common sense..

Mohammedi محمدي‎ are followers of their own common sense, not worshipers of Mohammed bin Abdullah. The reason Muslims conquered all the great empires of that era was they were followers of Mohammed [common sense] under the legendary slogan  لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا ٱللَّٰهُ مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ ٱللَّٰهِ‎ • (lā ʾilāha ʾillā llāhu muḥammadun rasūlu llāhi) meaning - There is NO GOD / god except the System of Consciousness [Allah] and Common Sense [Mohammed] is the Voice of Allah.

But unfortunately this masterpiece Arabian literature [Quran] became the victim of sectarian history and the timeless message was linked with the selective histories of the respective sects; thus the process of destruction the revolutionary message of the book Quran began and it is continuous till date. This same people are searching Mohammed in Saudi Arabia, Jerusalem, Jordan and Syria but they don't realize that the real Mohammed is in their souls. They keep on fighting in the name of God whereas the basic purpose of Mohammed bin Abdullah and the book Quran was to wipe out Gods of various religions.

You take care of your Allah and Allah will take care of you, its that simple, you give loan to Allah and He will return it to you. You give trouble to Allah and you will get back the trouble multiplied many times. The only condition is that you have to take the initiative first. Allah helps those who help themselves. Be careful of your system of consciousness. It gives back what we have given it. This is the essence of Deen. Hijrah is for Allah, i.e from unsettle state of Makkah to well established state of mind Madeena; Peaceful State of Mind - [DEEN - E - ISLAM].
What is Surah? The basic lexical meaning of sur سور is leaped or sprang towards or upon him overpowering influence, intoxication, to rise to ascend, overpowering influence upon the head - Surah -  سورة -  Eminence or notable influence revealed or sent down with clear sign so that we remember or take heed - [24:1] - surah has a strong influence on us by the virtue of which we are ready for action.

In the context of the book Quran Surah signifies the influence / impact /  we receive because of our inclination towards our goal [qibla] thus the inspiration [wahi] on our heart through Gibrael [A faculty of mind which decodes the unknown]. The balance of man's mind hangs between stable and unstable state; that is within Makkah and Madeena state. The book Qurah is divided into Makkah and Madeena state of mind that's why the surahs are categorized into two parts, one is Makki [مُكِّي] and the other one is Madani [مدنی] surahs. Literally مُكِّي means my Makkahمدنی means my Madeena and الهجري means my migration or my journey, between the two states of mind because it made influence on self. In short in the context of the Book Quran, Surah is a sur [influence that makes an impact] we receive from any poem, melody, tune, verse or statement.

Every abstract word of the book Quran is given physical image so that the masses hooked on to it firmly and to retrieve the original meanings becomes a hurricane task for the researchers.

The word Mecca in the Quran does not mean the city of Saudi Arabia,

The word Yathrib does not signify the Modern city of Madeena of Saudi Arabia

The word Musalla in Quran does not represent prayer-mat

The word Maqame Ibrahim is fabricated as foot print of Ibrahim

The word Safaa and Marwa are misconceived as hillocks in “Mecca”

The word Arafat is wrongly inferred as a gathering at granodiorite hill about 20 km (12 mi) southeast of Mecca in the Makkah Province of Saudi Arabia

The list is very long …

Same way the word Masjid in the Quran does not represent Mosque…

The conspirators against the Quran succeeded in replacing / converting and establishing the vibrant words of the Quran to the accounts of history.

NOTE THESE ARE MY PERSONAL UNDERSTANDING BASED ON ARABIC LEXICONS, ISLAMIC THEOLOGY, QURANIC CONTEXT AND COMMON SENSE. ITS A FOOD FOR THOUGHT FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO EXPLORE OTHER DIMENSION OF ISLAM. I AM JUST TRYING TO CONNECT THE DOTS OF ISLAMIC THEOLOGY WITH MY UNDERSTANDING OF THE BOOK QURAN.

THE ESSENCE OF LIFE IS GOD

THE ESSENCE OF LIFE IS GOD. There is nothing except God. The entire Universe is the mirror effect of God or the manifestation of God so that we know / realize His Power (QADEER) - 65:12.

Wherever we see is God, It is His Face / Countenance (28:88, 55:27). In the Quranic language He is term as ZAHIRU, this means very few people with tremendous empathy can actually see or feel His Presence. There is no such place where we cannot see Him but in the life of a believer His Presence is All Encompassing (WASIUN). A believer can feel / witness / experience His presence in his heart.

He is manifested in the entire canvas of our life only if we realize it. The entire narration of the book Quran is for Him لَهُ & He هُوَ - The entire book Quran discusses the relation of Rabb with Man’s agitated mind (An-Naas). The personal Rabb is called رَبِّي (my rabb), Rabb of like minded people is called رَبُّنَا (our rabb) and  رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ is Fountainhead of all the Knowledge.

One of His attributes is also Al-BATIN (57:3) because there are many who cannot see Him, they cannot feel His Presence or are not aware of His ZAHIRU (57:3) aspect, for them He is Unfathomable as He is Covered / Concealed / Immanent (Al-BATIN). A sense which requires development is also called BATIN, that is not yet developed to perceive what is Hidden.

No-one has Evolved Him because He Himself is the Evolver (KHALIQ), He is the foremost (AWAL) – 57:3,

He is not Last but He is unending (AAKHIR), sometimes He Delays (71:4) and He is also Swift (SARīʿU) – 40:17. He is everywhere; He is all encompassing (WASIUN) and He is Everlasting (Al-QAYUM) and Ever-Living (Al-Hayu). No vision can grasp Him He grasps all vision (6:103) that’s why he is also called BASEER (2:110).

God at individual level is called AHAD because He is NOT DIVIDABLE; GOD at COSMIC level is called WAHID (ONE) because wahid is a cardinal number so هُوَ and can be Dividable into any AHADUN (UNITS) -112:1 – the true essence of the interpretation of AHADUN,

Allah is also called Al-JAAMI (3:9) because He can Accumulate / Gather / Assemble Himself

The parable that the Malaikah becoming humble (sajda) to the existence of Adam and Satan not becoming humble to Adam, is that because Satan failed recognizes the God or the Spirit of God in Adam.

The Fitrah (natural process of evolution) of God (فِطْرَةَ اللَّهِ) which He has evolved upon it the agitated minds [An-Naas] but most of the An-Naas will never know - 30:30.

The purpose of evolution of the entire Universe is to know His Power – He is intrinsic part of us and we need to know / connect with Him through Zikr (remembrance) and Salat (process of connection) so that we can resurrect Him in our life and shun Satan from our life.

When I say God it does not mean "Sky God" of Religion but the system of our Life or the System of our consciousness.

THE THEORY OF CREATION / ADAM

The theory of creation or a Creator is a Biblical concept sneaked into the interpretation of the Quran; the reason lies in the mythical story of Adam whom God created / formed from clay / soil with his own hand like the potter makes his pottery.

The word teen طِينًا is wrongly translated as clay under the influence of Bible. To imagine God as an anthropomorphic angry figure is the root cause of our worship. We don't see God as our 24x7 Friend, Companion and Guide. Please understand God at micro level first that is to understand our connection with Him, then only we can realize His True Magnanimity or His Magnum Opus.

The basic meaning of teen طين is to plaster, to coat, the meaning also signify adaptation according to disposition / natural transformation or that can be molded or can be formed like the wet clay. The word طين signifies character of Adam to adapt to situations, circumstances or environment rather than an object clay.

Various forms of creationism and biblical literalism consider Adam to be a historical person. Scientific evidence does not support the idea that the entire human population descends from a single man.

According to the book Quran Humans / Mankind can evolved or survive through adaption[ طين ] if he molds himself according to circumstances. The word طين signifies the quality of Mankind to adapt to situations. It is a major part of evolutionary process.

One must also understand the thin difference between 10 Quranic words in order to understand the concept of Creator / Maker / Evolver / Manufacturer / Originator / Initiator / Fashioner / Construct / Build / Inventor / expander / Producer . 1) فَاطِرِ [fatir] 2) خَالِقُ [khaliq] 3) جَاعِلِ [jaeel] 4) صَنْعَةَ [sanae] 5) بَدِيعُ [badae] 6) الْمُصَوِّرُ [Musawir] 7) ابْنُوا [abnu] 8) الْبَارِئُ [Al-Bari] 9)  اشْرَحْ [ish'raḥ] 10) الْمُنْشِئُونَ [ l-munshiūna]

The translators play between the meanings of these words to justify their understanding of creation. They don't educate the masses the difference between them so that their traditional religion will collapse. The masses are content with whatever they know plus they don't have the time / inclination to research, verify and check the meanings.

We must understand the nuance of the word خَالِقُ normally translated as creator. This word is active participle + nominative in nature and must be understood with the word خُلُقٍ which means character [68:4].

When the word خَالِقُ is active participle and nominative in nature that means no creature is separate from IT. That means He / It is present in every evolutionary species مخلوق - I don't translate the word خَالِقُ as Creator but as Evolver of character because one of its derived meaning is also اخلاق akhlaq / standards of behavior or moral character اخلاقي -

When we translate خَالِقُ as Creator we make a big gap between the Creator and His creation and thereby ignore His other attributes like Ahadun, Zahiru, Wasiun and Makar... Our focus are only on those attributes that confirm or relate with our faith / belief. These attributes are Wahid, Batin, Rahim, Rahman... If we really want to understand the term Allah we need to understand its overall attributes.

Sorry I too can only point you or give you the clue at this moment as I don't have the time and energy to thoroughly explain it to you all the difference and proper application of each word according to the context.

Have you ever ponder why "God" need our service, servant, devotees, worship, praise or thanks giving? Don't you think by doing this we are lowering the dignity of God. My God does not need this sycophancy. My God says whatever you do it is for your own self for your own good. You do bad it is for you, your own self. My God says I am free from all your sycophancy. Be cautious, don’t let God disappear from your life.

THE PURPOSE OF OUR EVOLUTION

The purpose of our evolution is to recognize Allah in us. Satan failed to recognize Allah in Adam thus he failed to become humble [اسْجُدُوا] as he behaved arrogantly [اسْتَكْبَرَ] - We have to recognize Allah / Rabb in us. We all recognize Satan in us but fail to recognize that Allah is also present in us but at micro level and gradually we have to upgrade our level of understanding of Allah so that the Satan in us disappears and we remain forever in Jannah [Hidden garden of enlightenment].

DISTRACTIONS FROM UNDERSTANDING ALLAH.

We will never understand the book Quran or the Deen Islam if we keep on revolving around the geography of Mecca, Madina, Petra or the History of Mohammed, Abu Bakr, Umar, Usman, Ali, Abu Jahal, Abu Lahab, Abu Sufyan, Muawia, Hasan, Hussain, Yezid, Ummayad or Abbassid Dynasties.

These are the distractions which hinders us from understanding the vibrant message of the Quran.

Those whose understanding of Quran or Islam depend on the above criteria then their Islam will crumble with every new discoveries. If you understand the Quranic Allah, trust me there will be no desire to know anything else; Salam - Peace will be our greetings, Islam will be our cloak and Islam will rule our mind. There will be no fear or anxiety because our Deen will be Islam, not the Arabian religion but the universal philosophy of Peace.

UNDERSTAND QURAN IN THE LIGHT OF COMMONSENSE.

WE CANNOT UNDERSTAND THE BOOK QURAN IF…

If the message of the book Quran is divided into the events of two cities (Mecca and Madina) happened some 1442 A.H before, then the vibrant message of the Quran is defunct in current situations. And we are overlooking a very important segregation done by the earlier scholars of Makki and Madni verses on the basis of our two states of mind.

If Hijrah is considered as escape of Rev. Mohammed bin Abdullah [PBUH] from Mecca to Madina that means we are missing a invaluable instruction and essence of Hijrah in the Quranic context.

If Safa, Marwah is conceived as two hillocks in Mecca and linked to the story of wife of Abraham [هاجره] ran for water for her infant son then again we are missing musical cords of our ever changing life.

If Arafat is inferred as a gathering at granodiorite hill about 20 km (12 mi) southeast of Mecca in the Makkah Province of Saudi Arabia then we know nothing about knowledge in Quranic sense.

If Abu Lahab in verse 111:1 is considered as uncle of Rev. Mohammed bin Abdullah [PBUH] then we are missing an important lesson regarding the consequence of our anger, fury, rage and wrath.

If the word Zayd in the verse 33:37 is considered Zayd ibn Harithah an adopted son of Rev. Mohammed bin Abdullah [PBUH] then we become the supporters of the story that defames Rev. Mohammed bin Abdullah.

The biggest hindrance in understanding the book Quran and Islam is that we assume Mohammed bin Abdullah of History same as Mohammedun Rasul of Quran.

EXPLANATION OF RASUL & NABI

WHAT IS RASUL & NABI IN THE CONTEXT OF THE BOOK QURAN AND THE VERSE 3:81?

HOW WILL YOU UNDERSTAND VERSE 3:81?

3:81 - Behold! Allah took the covenant of the prophets, saying: "I give you a Book and Wisdom; then comes to you a messenger, confirming what is with you; do ye believe in him and render him help." Allah said: "Do ye agree, and take this my Covenant as binding on you?" They said: "We agree." He said: "Then bear witness, and I am with you among the witnesses. (Esq. Abdullah Yusuf Ali)

3:81 - GOD took a covenant from the prophets, saying, "I will give you the scripture and wisdom. Afterwards, a messenger will come to confirm all existing scriptures. You shall believe in him and support him." He said, "Do you agree with this, and pledge to fulfill this covenant?" They said, "We agree." He said, "You have thus borne witness, and I bear witness along with you." (Esq. Rashad Khalifa)

3:81 - And [recall, O People of the Scripture], when Allah took the covenant of the prophets, [saying], "Whatever I give you of the Scripture and wisdom and then there comes to you a messenger confirming what is with you, you [must] believe in him and support him." [Allah] said, "Have you acknowledged and taken upon that My commitment?" They said, "We have acknowledged it." He said, "Then bear witness, and I am with you among the witnesses." (M/S Sahih International)

3:81 - And when the system of consciousness [Allah] took hold unbreakable bond of all the self acquired informations [al-nabiyeen] "Whatever I gave/brought you from a script [kitab] and wisdom then a Rasul [calm and sedate voice / sign, message] betided you as a confirmation for what is with you, have trust with it and you will continuously help him/it." He said: "Did you affirm / certify and you took hold upon; that is My restriction / My boundary / My limit?" They [Al-Nabiyeen] said: "We affirm / certify." He [Allah] said: "So witness/testify and I am with you amid the witnessing / testifying"  (ahleaqal)

COMMON UNDERSTANDING OF VERSE 3:81 AMONG THE READERS.

What people generally conceive from the interpretation of 3:81 is that Allah [anthropomorphic image of God] took the promise or commitment from all the prophets [chosen holy people from Middle East, Nuh to Mohammed] even before they are born that whatever I give from the book [Quran] and wisdom [Hadith] and then comes to you a messenger [Since Allah has already taken the Oath from Nuh to Mohammed, who is this new messenger going to come after them is not clear ?] confirming what is with you, you must believe in him and support him [what is with us is not clear],, then Allah said, "Have you acknowledged and taken upon that My commitment?" They [all prophets including Mohammed] said, "We have acknowledged it." He said, "Then bear witness, and I am with you among the witnesses." -

The traditional perception of this verse also charges traditional Allah of Nepotism because he has selected the chosen few even before their inception as hallowed human being.

The verse 3:81 are often quoted by the followers of those who think or claim that after Mohammed bin Abdullah their mentor or leader or spiritual guide is the Rasul and according to them this verse confirms that.

My Take on this is that Mohammedun Rasul of the book Quran is not a Nabi in the context of the entire Quran, generally interpreted as prophet in English. Nowhere in the entire Quran Mohammed is specifically mentioned by name as a Nabi. In 3:81 the word Rasul mentioned is for Mohammedun Rasullah who was/is present with every Nabi. And without the Nabiyeen [prophets] believing, supporting him / it and seeking the acknowledgment / stamp of approval or confirmation from Mohammed [Rasul] no Nabi can fulfill his job without firm bonding with Rasul who is Khaatama Nabiyeen. This also proves that the status of commonsense [Rasul – voice of Allah] is more crucial than the job all the nabiyeen. That’s the reason the book Quran often give emphasis on obedience to Allah is obedience to Rasul and continuous obedience to Rasul is obedience to Allah (3:132) (4:80) - Note Rasul is not a human being but Voice of Allah.

The meaning of Nabi is derived from word Naba. Some of the basic meanings of نبا Naba and its derivatives are – he uttered a low voice or sound, he cried, acquainted, informed, knowledge, intelligence, news, narrative, story, conspicuous, evident, clear way, exalted, elevated…From the majority of meanings it suggest that the word Naba relate to some information, news, knowledge. When the letter ى is suffixed to the word نبا it becomes my prophet. The word Nabi نَبِيٍّ means my knowledge, my information, my news or in colloquial Arabic it means my prophet. In this sense the term Nabi نَبِيٍّ means our self acquired knowledge. From Nuh to Isa ibn Maryam are stages of our self acquired knowledge or information.

The meaning of Rasul -  The root word is رسل - r-si-l -The basic meaning is - he became easy in pace, became lank not crisp, pendent - means that what hangs down like hair or descend, r-s-l signifies bringing a message - ترسيل - easy utterance, without haste, reading in leisurely manner, was grave, staid, sedate or calm and endeavor to understand, speak without raising his voice...We cannot ignore the overall meaning while understanding any word.

After taking into consideration all the meanings of word Rasul and its derivatives I came to the conclusion that the word rasul connotes an organism which continuously hangs or descend upon us emitting signs or messages or speaks in an easy, calm and low sound - And in Quranic context the Rasul in you, with you and from you.

Finally according to Arabic classical lexicons plus the context of the entire Quran, rasuls are described as inner voices that are 24x7 hanging [like hair] on our head or beard, speaking without raising voices, uttering articulate / real messages with ease and without haste, in calm and sedate manner. Thus I conclude the word Rasul signifies voice of Allah which continuously speaks to us.

Explanation of 3:81 - If the prophets are human personalities born and living in different time zones then how can we understand the above scenario of Allah giving book and taking oath from all the prophets that a messenger will come to confirm what is with them [Al-Nabiyeen] and that they must help him [Rasul]. The nabiyeen is Nuh to Isa according to 33:7, Mohammed is excluded because he is Rasul not a Nabi. How will the Nabiyeen acknowledge that they will help him [Rasul] and Allah is witness to the pact. This is only possible if all the characters, i.e nabiyeen, Allah, Rasul and shaitaan are present in our lower consciousness [فِي الْأَرْضِ] - otherwise it is impossible to understand this verse from the traditional point of view.

The voice of Mohammedun Rasul Allah or common sense [the voice of Allah] is lying dormant in majority of us, we just need to install the process of connection
[أَقِمِ الصَّلاَةَ] in order to regain the reducing / diminishing of the clarity [لِدُلُوكِ الشَّمْسِ] till the darkness of anxiety persist and the dawn of breakthrough examined collectively and is always witnessed.  that’s why we cannot attain the status of Maqame Mahmood (17:78-79) –

Mohammedur Rasul Allah is the final inherent voice of approval because he is the stamp of approval for all our personal information [Nabiyeen] - the inherent sense Mohammed carefully studies with the knowledge of our Consciousness [Rabb] all our inherent thought process or inner conversation or self inspired information [Al-Nabiyeen] and orders it to implement it into action –

One more information; in the entire book Quran Mohammed is mentioned as Rasul but never as a Nabi. We need to understand the connotations of Rasul and Nabi in the Quranic sense and not in the light of Hadith. According to Hadith literature Mohammed bin Abdullah [PBUH] was the father of Zayed ibn Harithah [adopted son]. Again Zayedun in Quran 33:37 is also not a proper noun.

The problem with us is that we are treating the book al-Quran as the history book of Mohammed bin Abdullah [PBUH], his companions [R.A] and tales of Jewish and Christians prophets suppose to have born in the region of Middle East. No name mentioned in the entire Quran is proper noun of a person or place. They are characteristics, adjectives, status, state or positions.

33:7 - وَإِذْ أَخَذْنَا مِنَ النَّبِيِّينَ مِيثَاقَهُمْ وَمِنكَ وَمِن نُّوحٍ وَإِبْرَاهِيمَ وَمُوسَى وَعِيسَى ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ وَأَخَذْنَا مِنْهُم مِّيثَاقًا غَلِيظًا

33:7And when We took their unbreakable bond from all the self acquired informations [al-nabiyeen] and from you and from Noah and Abraham and Moses and Jesus, the son of Mary; and We took from them a unbreakable bond. [ahleaqal]

The prophets mention in 3:81 are Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus the son of Mary and it is confirmed by 33:7; Mohammed is not mentioned by name anywhere. Majority of the Muslims believe that it is Mohammed bin Abdullah who was present with all the prophets before the creation. The verse 3:81 will only make sense if we take Mohammedun Rasul Allah as Common Sense, then only it is possible that Mohammed was/is present with all the Nabiyeen [prophets] however all the prophets are at different level / stages of knowledge or information. And if we believe that Mohammed bin Abdullah of Arabia was physically present with all the prophets then we are raising a human being to the status of God and promoting mythical concepts.

42:51 - وَمَا كَانَ لِبَشَرٍ أَن يُكَلِّمَهُ اللَّهُ إِلَّا وَحْيًا أَوْ مِن وَرَاءِ حِجَابٍ أَوْ يُرْسِلَ رَسُولًا فَيُوحِيَ بِإِذْنِهِ مَا يَشَاءُ إِنَّهُ عَلِيٌّ حَكِيمٌ

42:51 - And it is not for any internal sense that the system of consciousness continuously communicate / express Itself except by mental stimulation or from hidden fire of eagerness or that It sends a rasul to stimulate, with It's permission, what It desires. Indeed, It is Most High and Wise. (ahleaqal)

بَشَرٌ The basic meaning of bashar according to classical Arabic is change in complexion by the annunciation of an event. The complexion or the face of the skin changes due to the response of the internal sensors, it exposes to views, The word bashar is related to which is between flesh and skin. That's why it is why the word bashar is generally translated as human being. Mubashrati مُبَشِّرَاتٍ bearer of tidings, مُسْتَبْشِرَةٌ rejoicing at good news, In 74:29 لِلْبَشَرِ is translated as skin,  بُشْرَىٰ is good news so according to rule of root word languages the word Bashar cannot be translated as man or human being.

Mohammed un Rasul is mentioned by name in 33:40, we will see what it is?

33:40 مَّا كَانَ مُحَمَّدٌ أَبَا أَحَدٍ مِّن رِّجَالِكُمْ وَلَكِن رَّسُولَ اللَّهِ وَخَاتَمَ النَّبِيِّينَ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمًا

"The role of an approver [Mohammadun] is never of anyone's procreator from your self sustaining mechanism [Rijal], and but he is Rasul [embedded inner voice] of Allah [system of consciousness], and signs / finalize / stamps [khaatama] all information [Al-Nabiyeen], and Allah [system of consciousness] is with everyone whose desire is knowledge."

The inherent sense of everyone that approves or finalize all self acquired information [Al-Nabiyeen] is Mohammedun – He is not a part of any procreation process, neither he is from your self sustaining mechanism. Mohammed is an inherent sense in all of us but very few people can activate and make use of it – Usually people depends upon other voices of approvals to take the final decisions or approvals – Because to approve something one has to gain right knowledge and that is very difficult, so the job of mohammedun is not easy. As we know common sense is not common. I recognize Mohammedun as common sense which works along with our consciousness but very few of us use it. Only if we have Mohammed in us we can receive Quran in our own language, which will be a guide and criterion [Furqan] to the agitated mind.

The word Rijaal رِجَالٌ  signifies self sustaining dynamics which works independently on in its own strength and capacity, capacity of mind to carry its on burden. The status of Mohammed is that he is the signature of authority / approval [Khatama] over all the self acquired information [Al-Nabiyeen] but he does not perform the work of the Nabi, he is just a Rasul who does not supply, collects / gathers, nourishes, rears, warns or acts like a father / procreator or as other Rasuls [inherent messengers] do. Mohammed [the inherent sense] only approves / finalize / stamps all self acquired information [Al-Nabiyeen] after deeply studying them and then commands to perform the action. The Rasul works with Allah [system of consciousness] - Verse 33:40 and verse 3:81 explains the work of Mohammedun the rasul.

It is difficult to sink in as it is an unconventional line of thinking but purely based on the Classical Arabic Lexicons, Grammar and the context of the book Quran - Please ignore if it is too difficult too digest...

My intention is not to offend anyone. But truth must prevail.

WHY KNOWING ALLAH IS IMPORTANT?

 WHY KNOWING ALLAH IS IMPORTANT?

Allah and its Attributes are spread all over the book Quran. There are more than 99 attributes of Allah and it is not without a purpose. The only purpose of mentioning the names of Allah so many times is to help us to recognize the Character of Allah through His attributes. To know the Character or the Nature of Allah is very important for mankind. To understand the Deen we must understand the Fitrat (Natural process of evolution) of Allah, because the Quran says in 30:30 that mankind is build on the natural process [fitrat] of Allah. Societies can be built on common moral values but that is not the subject of the book Quran.

Understanding Allah does not mean that we should revere or idolize Allah or count his names on rosaries. Societies are build by individuals. For that they must realize that Allah and Satan are two sides of the same coin. They must always feed the good side if they want to build power stations, beneficial gadgets, wisdom, help friends and family. Allah and Satan are inside us and for that we must know how and why the coin flips. Knowing the character of Allah will help us in preventing the coin to flip from Allah to Satan. I am not against forming just and fair societies but they are build by individual's Godly or Satanic characters. The message of the book Quran is to know your good and evil characters in order to live a secure and peaceful life.

Believers questions who created the universe including human beings, Atheists questions who created God? The answer to both of them is below.

ALLAH IS LIGHT AND LIGHT IS ENERGY - ALLAH is Awal and Aakhir - people will easily believe if Einstein said that Allah is Light.

"Energy cannot be created or destroyed" - Understand the essence of AHAD, WAHID, ZAHIR, BATIN, WASIUN, AWAL AND AAKHIR AND YOU WILL UNDERSTAND ALLAH. After understanding 100s of attributes I came to the conclusion that Allah / Rabb is our own system of consciousness. Please think over its attributes to come to the right conclusion..

Energy exists in many forms, such as heat, light, chemical energy, and electrical energy. Energy is the ability to bring about change or to do work. Thermodynamics is the study of energy.

First Law of Thermodynamics: Energy can be changed from one form to another, but it cannot be created or destroyed. The total amount of energy and matter in the Universe remains constant, merely changing from one form to another. The First Law of Thermodynamics (Conservation) states that energy is always conserved, it cannot be created or destroyed.

The characters from Nuh to Mohammed are names of personalities but have meanings, applications and functions that were taught to Adam for operating machine called Mankind.

The author of the book uses 1st, 2nd and 3rd person to narrate this enchanting philosophy. The entire 'Kingdom of God' is inside us; the readers are requested to keep this in mind while studying the book Quran.

ALLAH / MOHAMMED

                               ALLAH / MOHAMMED

Mohammed bin Abdullah (PBUH) promoted Agnosticism.  It was a new form of concept which promotes questioning and doubting everything. The basic intention was to believe in self rather than relying on others or some external super natural forces. Relying on others or doubting our inner potentials is considered as Shirk, the greatest sin in Islam. The entire book Quran highlights the phrase obey Allah and obey Rasul but unfortunately we look for them outside us whereas as they are living part of our soul. It is clearly mentioned in the Quran that Allah and Rasul are inside us but we are busy searching them in Mosques and Graves.

Mohammed bin Abdullah (PBUH) gave the world a stunning slogan "There is no ilah (God/god) but the system of consciousness (Allah), Common Sense (Mohammed) is the voice of Allah." But unfortunately we have given Allah and His Rasul anthropomorphic image thus the daring efforts of Mohammed bin Abdullah to wipe out religion and imaginary God from the Peninsula of Arabia has gone wasted.

Mohammed bin Abdullah never promoted organized religion or its God, neither he preached permanent moral values. His only agenda was to free Arabia from all kind of superstitions and promote free thinking as he knew that religions were blocking the use of free speech and free thinking. If he was preaching permanent moral values nobody would stand against him because all religions have same permanent moral values. To openly speak against the Gods of Pagans, Jews and Christians was a severe act of blasphemy which Mohammed very openly preached and that's the reason why he has to faced so much persecution. It was a fight between rational thinking and blind following. Many Many Salutation to that man who proclaimed La ilah ilal la mohammadu rasul Allah and gave new life to the people of Arabia.

NOTE: ALLAH of the Book Quran is different from the Allah of Hadith and MOHAMMADU RASUL ALLAH of the book Quran is different from Mohammed bin Abdullah of History.

PREPOSITIONS IN THE QURAN.

HOW THE TRANSLATORS ARE PLAYING WITH PREPOSITIONS WHILE TRANSLATING THE BOOK QURAN?

A preposition is a word—and almost always a very small, very common word—that shows direction (to in "a letter to you"), location (at in "at the door"), or time (by in "by noon"), or that introduces an object (of in "a basket of apples"). Prepositions are typically followed by an object, which can be a noun (noon), a noun phrase (the door), or a pronoun (you).

In Arabic a preposition (حَرْفُ الْجَرِّ- called /harf ul ĵarr) is a single letter or a word which connects two nouns, or a verb and a noun to form a sentence. As above this is generally showing the position of one word to another. It always precedes a word and never follows the word. A preposition always comes before a noun and it does not come before a verb.

We cannot change the meanings of the prepositions according to our preconceived context of our tutored mind. If we have to manipulate the meanings of the simple prepositions that means we have failed to relate another word or element in the clause. I understand the evolution of the languages but prepositions don’t evolve along with the other meanings of the words or elements of the language. Prepositions are very important part of the sentence we cannot manipulate its meaning to suit our mind. The meanings of the prepositions will always remain the same as they show the direction or location of the subject and the predicate otherwise everything will be lost in translation.

For example – 1) فِي الْأَرْضِ  is usually translated or perceived as ON THE EARTH. The manipulation of the preposition happens due to a parallel story running in our mind that Adam was installed / made as a KHALIFA ON EARTH – 2:30 and if we translate فِي as IN THE EARTH it won’t make any sense to English knowing audience or those who think the word الْأَرْضِ signifies EARTH. The reason for manipulating the preposition is that most of the translators think الْأَرْضِ in the context of the Quran means THE EARTH so it is hard for them to translate  فِي as [IN] in English. Most of the translators of the book Quran are from subcontinent of India so they translate Quran in English but through their lens of Urdu language. The Author of the Book Quran knows that there is a Arabic word for ON [ عَلَى ] and the Author used the word for ON too in the book Quran so why they translate فِي الْأَرْضِ  as عَلَى الْأَرْضِ [18:7], this only because the translators have failed to understand the meaning of related word in the theme and context of the book Quran.

Example 2) فِي النَّاسِ in 6:122 and 22:27 – In these verses the preposition فِي  is manipulated as ‘AMONG’ and ‘TO’ – This is done to fit in their preconceived notion that AN-NAAS means men, mankind or people.

Example 3) هَاجَرُوا فِي اللَّهِ in verse 16:41 – The simple honest translation would be those MIGRATED IN ALLAH –

But the translators added the word ‘CAUSE’ / ‘PATH’ to the sentence to make sense to their preconceived idea of Allah as GOD / DIETY. They could not conceive how one can migrate IN ALLAH as the interpreters are unaware about the real essence of the term Allah in the context and theme of the book Quran. So finally هَاجَرُوا فِي اللَّهِ is conveniently translated as MIGRATED IN THE PATH / CAUSE OF ALLAH.

Example 4)  أَرْسَلْنَا فِيكُمْ رَسُولًا 2:151Here again the phrase فِيكُمْ is translated as among you because many among us are not aware of the crux of word Rasul in the context and theme of the book Quran. We relate the mentioned word Rasul with the honorable figure of Mohammed bin Abdullah, therefore IN YOU [فِيكُمْ] becomes ‘AMONG YOU’ [بَيْنِكُمْ] [5:106] and nobody dares to question it.

23:32 -
فَأَرْسَلْنَا فِيهِمْ رَسُولًا مِنْهُمْ

3:101 -
وَفِيكُمْ رَسُولُهُ

Example 5) – Now come to preposition ‘FROM’ - مِنْ

3:164 - إِذْ بَعَثَ فِيهِمْ رَسُولًا مِنْ أَنْفُسِهِمْ

9:128 -
لَقَدْ جَاءَكُمْ رَسُولٌ مِنْ أَنْفُسِكُمْ

Here the poor preposition مِنْ whose actual meaning is ‘FROM’ but adjusted to become ‘AMONG THEMSELVES’ because it was difficult to digest the Quranic concept that Rasul is FROM OUR NAFS / SELF / PSYCHE.

The ongoing background Hadith narration of Mecca / Madina events pertaining to historical figure Mohammed bin Abdullah are regularly playing in our minds and that hinders our thinking process to translate the book Quran on the merits of its actual context, connotations and language.

So translators are playing with the words of the book Quran according to what suits their understanding of the message. There is no rule, only whims and fancies.

SALAM / PEACE

NAME THE BOOK THAT CHANGED YOUR LIFE?

NAME THE BOOK THAT CHANGED YOUR LIFE?

I don't think any physical book has the power to change us. It is only the book of Allah /كِتَابَ اللَّهِ [our own inherent script] can change us if we continuously think, ponder, deliberate, meditate on it. We don't have to learn any language as it is in our mother tongue.

No doubt there are many good books that have educated us, influenced us and made an impact on us but in my opinion they don't have the power to change us.
We can become good doctors, engineers lawyers, scientists, farmers, electricians, plumbers, drivers etc by reading books or by experiencing certain circumstances or by practice but in the journey of becoming a good human being books cannot change our basic nature or instinct, this change must come from within.
This is what I feel, even a good author of a good book cannot necessarily be a good human being in spite of having good knowledge on many subject.

Books have the power to keep on changing our perspective / view towards certain matters. It continuously molds us into the authors idea of life but has no power to change our character. I am not against reading books to gain information but I have stopped reading them because I want to form my own idea. I want to read / study / meditate, to know myself and experience my real identity. I don’t want to embrace anyone’s ideas. At the end of the day it’s a mortals opinion. Why can’t I make my own opinion or carve out guiding principles for my own life. Why do I have to rely on books to change myself? Reading a book is understanding somebody's else perspective, it will certainly help you to change your perspective but the knowledge of self will only come when we begin to think and contemplate deeply. I don't think all the information from the books can make me a better human being unless I follow my own script (Al-Kitab).

I am reiterating again, I am not against reading books, my concern is thinking must not take backseat. Common sense is the greatest gift mankind posses. I have seen many people who have read many books but they don't apply common sense. The habit of reading must help in opening up our mind but I have observed that it takes away this wonderful gift of reasoning. Generally people get influenced by the authors perspective and they blindly quote them as if they are the benchmark of knowledge. Those eminent authors become the benchmark for the readers thus the door for further research on the subject is closed. This is what happened with Islam. We have great amount of readers whom we call well read or well informed, masses call them scholars because they can quote and give references easily. They have good memories and art of recitation but lack understanding and wisdom.
